Des Christian
Des Christian is a highly experienced business development and project management professional. He has over 15 year’s experience of working cross-industry within EMEA and the US. After several years of working in the IT and Telco industries Des now works as a consultant specialising in business development and project management.
Procurement – Des developed, tested and implemented a Danish e-procurement software system that linked stock control and suppliers for SME and large corporations like Scania. He also project managed multiple contracts for a French company specialising in planning systems that linked procurement to production using best practises.
Contract Management – Des has worked on the development of contracts, with values ranging from £20K to £30M. He is well versed in the drafting of contracts both independently and within a team, paying attention to KPI’s, SLA’s, legal requirements, risk management and T&C’s. Des has also drafted contracts for channel partners and franchise agents.
Project Management – Des has extensive experience in this arena which includes the setting up of customer service centres within EMEA, the installation of new planning systems and procedures within the manufacturing arena and reviewed service contracts within BPO. He has successfully managed project teams both nationally and globally.
Relationship Management – Des has collaborated with senior management, stakeholders and clients on multiple projects from concept to delivery.
Analytical – Des has the ability to scope a project quickly extracting the necessary management information for speedy decisions on any necessary changes to working practises.
Report Writing & Presentation – Des also works as a freelance writer and has excellent written skills with the ability to decipher complex procedures into understandable copy. He has written many bid and tender responses resulting in the successful acquisition of contracts. His presentation skills are a key strength.
